You are losing the color because you are trying to use the Copy/Paste command to copy a vector image. When you copy any image, it saves it as a PICT file (PICT is a raster image) to the internal clipboard where it will wait for you to use the PASTE command. By copying an EPS image (Vector), you are converting it into a different file format. This often results in the image losing its color. We recommend using the FILE/IMPORT method described in the front of the manual when using EPS images. You can, however, use the COPY/PASTE command with TIFF files (Raster Images) and still maintain the original properties of the art.
Whenever I try to copy an EPS image into my program, I lose the color. What is going on? (KB021002)
