To lower the mouse double-click speed in Windows:

  1. Click on Start.
  2. Go to Control Panel, or Settings then Control Panel for some versions of Windows.
  3. Double-click the Mouse icon in the Control Panel.
  4. On the new window, if not already selected, click on the Buttons tab.
  5. Set the "Double-click speed" to "Slow".
  6. Click the OK button to save the settings.
