To lower the mouse speed settings:

  1. Click on Start.
  2. Go to Control Panel, or Settings then Control Panel for some versions of Windows.
  3. Double-click the Mouse icon in the Control Panel.
  4. On the new window, click on the "Pointer Options" tab.
  5. Under the Motion area, move the pointer speed slider all the way to "Slow"
  6. Click the OK button to save the settings.
