To lower the mouse speed setting in Mac OS X:
- Go to the Apple menu.
- Go to System Preferences.
- Double-click the "Keyboard and Mouse icon.
- Select the Mouse tab.
- Set the "Tracking" to "Slow".
- Close the window.
